I first saw/met Skinner in 2008 when he did a show at the Krate in Santa Cruz. The first thing I said to this dude was that his art reminded me of the first time I did mushrooms and cranked Slayer. Needless to say it was a badass trip, the implication being that his art was equally badass. Not to mention the fact that he was one of the nicest fucking guys I ever met, seriously. Not only does he paint but I have seen him crack out some dope jewelry and even action figures reminiscent of the Masters of the Universe. If you don’t get the reference then you suck, especially since all you would have to do is google “Masters of the Universe” and you would quickly see what I am talking about. He is constantly producing work and if you are lucky you can grab one of his originals at a show or off of his SHOP.

This weekend I spent time with the love of my life in his hometown of Gehlenbeck, Germany. Weekends with his family are always so cozy, filling (endless amounts of essen und kuchen), and filled with love. My boyfriend and I were soaking in the sun, which was non-existent in the LONG German winter. Enjoy the photos of this old witch town.

I have recently taken the lead in international PR for the Berlin-based fashion brand called Front Row Society. The company was born out of a decree of a true fashion democracy. In other words, the pulse of the company is sustained by its community of over 25,000 international artists whom submit cutting-edge prints to monthly design challenges; thereon, the most popular designs end up curated into the brand’s seasonal collections.

The sun is shining in Berlin and smiles have sprouted. Colors have taken presence on clothing again instead of just in hair color. At Front Row Society, we are embracing the bold and vibrant colors of summer and have shared our excitement in the release of a very special dance-fashion teaser which coincided with the launch of our debut leggings collection.

The film was a collaborative effort by international choreographer and creative director, Kiani del Valle, motion designer Antonio Pedro, and myself. I reached out to Kiani because she is the perfect ball of energy and dance and her skills are one-of-a-kind: she has tons of international work up her sleeve. Kiani hand-picked the other dancers: Amit Preisman and Karoline Wyrwal both of which dance for companies in Berlin. The music in the film is by the Dutch band LOLA.
